My collection of suitable minis for a Gentlemens Club faction previously hailed from the old Westwind Gothic Horror range. Despite some conversions they were still only carrying pistols and big guns is something of a must for the Gentlemens Club if they are to stand a chance against the other factions.
The Gentlemen with guns blister pack would therefore suit my needs for getting the minis that I so far had missed. I quite like the John Brown mini as well and while I can use him as intended - a special character mini - I also thought that he would make a good member of a Gentlemens Club.
These minis like the Vampires they have been sitting on my painting table since before Christmas, but they were only finished in time for the start of our 4 man campaign last week. In terms of the colours used I painted them to look like their pictures on Westwinds website. The obvious exception is the famously missing fourth member of the group. For him I decided to go for a grey suit, as he reminds me of a country squire.
On a final note I am getting a lot of feedback from other fans of Empire of the Dead, and it is very much appreciated. We are not really that many who actively play the game, so we need to support/comment whenever there is a new post on a blog, website or a Facebook group. So thanks a lot to Simon, Robert, Scott, Paul, Sven, Iain and a lot of other people on the official Empire of the Dead official Facebook group.
Looking good Kaspar, a very colourful and characterful bunch! Shooting is definitely a major strength of the Gentlemen's Club faction. Their access to a good array of weapons and equipment is also a positive, and I think will aid them in a campaign as factions develop. Great to see a little online community starting to form around the game. Keep up the good work! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul, yes there seems to be a buzz about Empire of the Dead that I have not seen since the Kickstarter. Hopefully it will last and Westwind will seize this chance to get some goodwill back with a lot of the backers.
DeleteI love the fellow in the purple smoking jacket. Westwind do a great range.
ReplyDeleteThey are great minis for sure. The best however is that they paint up so well.
